Why join the Trust we hear you ask?  A good question.  A lot of “older” fans know the history of the Trust and our role in helping save us from extinction back in 1992.  The Club has had one or two close runs since then and the Trust has been on hand to help it through the bad times.  We have also raised thousands of pounds towards projects both at Rockingham Road and Latimer Park for the benefit of the Club and fans along with community initiatives etc etc etc.  Ultimately, we have tried and succeeded in some instances to be involved in the Club at a higher level.  Previously, we have had Trust Chairmen involved on the Board under Peter Mallinger and Imraan Ladak albeit it quite briefly!  We still endeavour to obtain a place at that level so that the fans have a voice in how the Club may be run.  We are currently talking to George about this – he has offered us a possible place on the Club’s management committee and we are pursuing this with him.  Watch this space.

Talking of community projects, the Trust has teamed up with the Club today to collect food for the Kettering and District Foodbank.  We are sure Poppies fans have shown their generosity for this good cause.

Today we welcome Bishop Stortford to Latimer Park.  Like us, The Blues got off to a very good start to the season.  Both teams are still in the mix at this early stage of the season so will be looking to stay in touch with the current leaders with 3 points today. 

Albeit our exit from the FA Cup was very disappointing, most of us have been around long enough to know that back to back FA Cup runs are rare particularly for us!  Last season is filed away in that Poppies memory box and we have to crack on with this season and making an impact in the League.  Looking forward to the Trophy run though…….!!

You can also pick up the QR code from the beer mats in the Clubhouse.  The Trust has sponsored the beer mats and the QR code will take you to our membership page on our web site.  Membership money usually ends up going to a specific project that needs funding in and around the Club which benefits both the Club and the fans.  We are always liaising with the Club to see what needs doing and where best we can help out financially/project manage.  We want to thanks all our long term members/life members/new members for your ongoing support.  For a full list of our aims and objectives, visit our website as detailed below.

THE SUMMER CASH DRAW ticket sales are coming along nicely.  Tickets are £5, with 50% of the proceeds split between 3 winners. The first winning draw will take place at the home game versus Harborough Town on August Bank Holiday Monday.  Also don’t forget that the other 50% of proceeds raised will be pumped back into the Club - although with everything the Supporters Trust does, the projects will benefit all of us supporters.  So even if you don’t win, you will be having a huge impact on our great club and the facilities we can all enjoy.

The Trust is now 33 years old and has seen and done a lot over that time.  We thought we would reflect on those years with a few DID YOU KNOWs: 

• The Trust was formed in 1992 to try and help save Kettering Town from the threat of liquidation.  We were the second Trust to be formed in the country behind the Cobblers Trust.

• The Trust Board is made up of an insurance broker, a GP Practice Administrator, a teacher, a lorry driver, a professional musician, a country manager – the rest of the Board did not want to admit what they did for a living!

• The Trust has donated more than £40,000 to the Club over the past 10 years alone – funding projects such as the Tin Hat Terrace extension, a new defibrillator, drainage works, a new pitch roller.

• At the first home game of the 2022/23 season we were hit by a heat wave?  The Trust Board sponsored and handed out nearly 500 bottles of free water to fans to keep supporters hydrated.

Lastly, our thoughts are with our friends at the Shrimp Trust – what’s happening at Morecambe FC is tearing the heart out of their community.

GOLF DAY

A huge thank you to all of our players and sponsors at this years Kettering Town Golf Day.

64 players graced Kettering Golf Club for a superb day of Golf excellently organised by the Poppies Supporters Trust with funds being raised for the Football Club & Trust.  Huge thanks to Bill Welland and Chris Bright for putting on such a great event.

The Mayor of Kettering Ben Jameson even made an appearance on the course.

We have already pencilled in next year's date so please keep your eyes peeled...

Many of you will remember the 300 club draw that the Supporters Trust used to hold - well it’s BACK….albeit with a slightly revamped name.

Dear Trust Member

As you will be aware, the Trust sponsors two KTFC players shirts each season - and these are given out to our members via a prize draw.

For the season 2024/25, we sponsored Dan Jezeph's home shirt, and Ben Hart's away shirt.

We allocated draw numbers to all of our members, and life members, and 2 numbers were drawn at random.
