TRUST POTY AND SEASON REVIEW

Dear Trust Member

With the Awards Night taking place on Thursday evening, we can officially call the 2024/25 season complete.

Many Congratulations to Dan Jezeph who was voted Trust Player of the Year by our members.

An amazing season on the pitch which has seen 3 full houses at Latimer Park, numerous great performances (some not so 🥴) and the unbelievable FA Cup run. We're sure that all supporters will agree, the night at Sixfields will live with us all forever.

Everyone at the club should be incredibly proud and at the Supporters Trust we would like to pay tribute to the Owner, the Manager, Players, Backroom staff, club management team and all staff and numerous volunteers who made this season a great one.

And that doesn’t include you, the fans  - singing your hearts out for the team, home and away - we even topped the charts in terms of Average Attendance in the League - our roles as Supporters of this great club certainly can’t be understated!

We didn’t quite get over the final play-off hurdle, but certainly not due to the effort everyone put in.

We hope that the momentum created this season can continue into next and many more to come. The feel good factor is back and we within the Supporters Trust aim to help continue this into the next pre-season.

Don’t forget we have the Beer Festival starting next Thursday and the Poppies Golf Day in July:

The club also plans some events through the summer which the Supporters Trust will be assisting with where needed.

Watch out too for some great events being run by Phil Wade and the Community team!

We hope that with our fundraising efforts the Supporters Trust can help the club with work to improve our facilities and most importantly, improve the experience for all of you amazing Supporters - the best fans around!

Supporters Trust membership for 2025/26 will be opening soon for anyone wishing to renew theirs and for new Supporters wanting to join. Keep an eye out for details.

If anyone has any ideas or thoughts around the season just gone or ways we as the Supporters Trust can help, then please do not hesitate to contact us.

Enjoy the break, and see you all next season.

AFC TELFORD PLAY OFF FINAL PROGRAMME NOTES

 Play Off Final vs Telford

Well, here we go for the final match of the season.  I think that had we been offered a playoff final and the chance for promotion on the very last day of the season, way back in August I guess most of us would have taken that and been absolutely delighted.

Full credit goes to Richard Lavery and the Team for keeping us entertained all the way o the dying embers.  Last Wednesday night was a wonderful occasion, which football fans don’t get to enjoy too often, so to prevail in that tense penalty shoot-out was a marvellous result.

As the Supporters Trust, it is important that we acknowledge the job done by the support base in helping get the club to this position too.  Almost 3000 people in attendance last week, and I expect the same again today.  Hopefully the vast majority will consider joining the Trust and help us continue our role in supporting the Club also.

On that point, it has been fantastic for me to see new blood and energy join the trust Board in recent week in the form of Lee Wright, Chris Bright and Billy Welland.  In just a few short weeks their enthusiasm, vigour and general love for our football club has brought a renewed energy that had perhaps been missing in recent times from our Board.  However, that does not mean we were still not focused on our goal of improving the lot for the Poppies Faithful. This season alone we made a sizeable donation to the club in order to refurbish the toilets of the clubhouse as part of the wider refresh plan.  We look forward to this work being fully completed in due course so that we can all enjoy a clean and safe environment when we visit the club.

Our fundraising efforts have continued, and we hosted a fantastic Race Night a few weeks ago alongside the Dylan Cecil Memorial Fund Charity where we raised a magnificent £1,652 which will be shared between the two Groups.

In July we have our Golf Day (16th July) which is proving very popular but there are spaces left.  If you are interested in joining in please speak to any Trust Member or directly to Billy Welland – billywelland@yahoo.co.uk or to Chris Bright at chris.bright4479@outlook.com

We will aim to have other events and activities over the summer, so please keep an eye out for these and support.

That said however the best support that we can give is via our membership.  All monies we raise eventually are used to assist the club in whatever format that may take, but we can only achieve this with support from our members who are of course supporters of KTFC.  We are the second oldest Trust in the Country, but can only operate with the commitment of our Board members and the support of our members.  Please do consider joining us.

With that, let’s hope the season ends on a high with a Fantastic 4-0 Home win.
